世界のレストランやホテルの格付けガイド「レッド・ミシュラン」でおなじみの「ミシュランガイド」。 国内旅行でも活用されている方も多いことと思います。20世紀初頭から発行されている「グリーン・ガイド」は、ホテル・レストラン以外の観光スポットを網羅したガイドブックで、2009年には日本版「ミシュラン・グリーンガイド・ジャポン」が発行されています。これは、自然遺産や国立公園、寺社仏閣、美術館・博物館など幅広いジャンルの様々な観光スポットを星による格付けと共に網羅したものです。
なんと、福岡アジア美術館は、このミシュラン・グリーンガイドで「★★」の評価を獲得しています！
★★は、「寄り道して訪れる価値がある」場所に与えられた評価で、九州内には★★以上のスポットが22か所あります。全国の美術館・博物館中、41の館が★★または★★★の評価を得ており、福岡アジア美術館もその中に含まれています。
当館はこれまで、ミシュランをはじめ様々な海外のトラベルサイトなどで高い評価を受けており、来館者の20％*は海外からの訪問者を占めています。日本の美術館でありながら、アジア23の国と地域から集まった国際色豊かなコレクションと、広範囲かつ多様性に富んだアジア近現代美術の展示内容が評価されています。

The Michelin Guide is well known for its Red Michelin, a rating of restaurants and hotels around the world. Many people use its Japanese cities edition for domestic travel. Also, the Green Guide is a guidebook, which covers a wide range of tourist attractions including natural heritage, national parks, temples, shrines, museum,s and galleries.

★★ is a rating of "worth of a detour," and they are 22 ★★ spots in Kyushu. 41 museums across the country receive a ★★ or ★★★ rating, and the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is one of them.
Our museum has also received high praise from the other international travel websites, and 20% of the museum visitors coming from overseas. Although the museum is located in Japan, it has been praised for its international collection of art from 23 countries and regions in Asia and for its extensive and diverse collection of modern and contemporary Asian art.
What attracts visitors from abroad would be the museum's unique position as a place where they can experience Asian culture and art during their visit to Japan.
