アジア文化賞受賞者オカンポ氏来館 Mr Ocampo, laureate of Fukuoka Prize, visited FAAM today

2016年（第27回）福岡アジア文化賞（学術研究賞）を受賞されるアンベス・R・オカンポ氏が本日来館されました。フィリピンでの歴史学者としてだけでなく執筆や様々な領域での文化行政などでの活動を評価されての受賞ですが、ベン・カブレラ、アルトゥロ・ルス、ホアン・ルナなどフィリピンの重要美術作家の企画もおこない、マニラのアテネオ美術館、アヤラ美術館、ロペス美術館、国立博物館の委員もされており、アジ美と協力関係にあるシンガポール国立ギャラリーの顧問を務めていることから、美術への造詣の深さ、展示方法への関心にびっくり！　授賞式は明日アクロスで。

Mr Ambeth R. Ocampo, Academic Prize laureate of The 27th Fukuoka Prize visited FAAM today. His award is not only for his achievement as a historian and a writer, but for his diverse activities in cultural policies. He has curated exibitions of eminent Philippine artists, such as Ben Cabrera, Arturo R. Luz, and Juan Luna; he works as a board member of Ateneo Art Gallery, Ayala Museum, Lopez Museum, National Museum of the Philippines, and as a consultant of National Gallery Singapore--thus his knowledge in art and interest in display surprised FAAM curators. 
The Award Ceremony is held at ACROS Fukuoka tomorrow.
